The Tourism Geraldton Mid-West board comprises volunteers whose experience and skills are as diverse as the region they passionately represent.

Bromwyn Thorpe-Gudgeon – Chair, Tourism Geraldton Mid West
Taking on the role of Chair of Tourism Geraldton Mid West in 2025, Bromwyn Thorpe-Gudgeon brings extensive experience in tourism and aviation. Since 2018, she has played a key role in the growth of Nationwest Aviation, overseeing its expansion from a Kalbarri-based air charter service to a thriving operation with a dedicated base in Geraldton (Geraldton Scenic Flights), as well as conducting flights from Perth into the Mid West. Under her guidance, the company has become a major force in the region’s aviation tourism sector, offering scenic flights, private charters, and exclusive tourism experiences that showcase the Mid West’s stunning natural beauty.
Bromwyn is passionate about driving the region’s tourism industry forward and is already making an impact as Chair, particularly through her focus on strong governance and strategic development. Her expertise is strengthened by her time on the Australia’s Coral Coast Board, where she has contributed to shaping tourism strategies that benefit both local businesses and visitors alike.
As she steps into this leadership role, Bromwyn is eager to bring industry stakeholders together, enhance visitor experiences, and raise the profile of Geraldton and the wider Mid West as premier travel destinations. With her deep knowledge of both aviation and tourism, she is well-positioned to champion the region’s unique attractions and help it reach new heights on the national and international stage.

Vice Chairperson Sarah Hinton
Sarah has over ten years of regional tourism, hospitality and creative experience and has managed and contributed to many exciting tourism initiatives when she resided in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. For example, Sarah has managed the self-drive Golden Quest Discovery Trail, one of the Goldfield’s oldest tourism assets and was part of the project team for Australian Street Award bronze medallist projects, Heartwalk and Little Finds.
Sarah has excellent working relationships with Tourism WA, Tourism Council of WA and many regional tourism operators. Since moving to Geraldton, Sarah has merged her passion for regional development, Aboriginal cultural tourism, public art and creative activities with her role as a peer for a leading event and creative company. Sarah’s role sees her maintaining stakeholder relationships and seeking future partnership opportunities. She has been responsible for a significant increase in contract funding for festival production, public art trails, placemaking and other creative activities.
Sarah and her family moved to Geraldton in late 2020, and her enthusiasm and passion for the region only increase the more she and her family explore the area.
